In reply to Could a single Emsam patch be worn for two days?, posted by Ame-Sans-Vie on August 10, 2006, at 7:34:10
> Just thought I'd pose this question out of curiosity. During the near two weeks I've been using Emsam, I haven't had any difficulty getting the patch to stay put. Well, I did at first, but quickly discovered that applying it to my upper thigh ensured that it would not "lift" at all throughout the day, even while showering.

Or for three days and receive approximately 18mg, for that matter. Am I wrong? I'd appreciate if anyone has any feedback on this!
Without doing the calculus to demonstrate it, the delivery of the drug wouldn't work that way. The flux of the drug from the patch to the skin is determined by its concentration in the patch, which constantly diminishes as it diffuses into the body transdermally.Nice try!
