Ah, the old "generic versus brand" thing. Klonopin depresses me, too. Valium does nothing. I did see an article in which the generic alprazolam was substituted for Xanax and people experienced withdrawal-but never saw anything like that with Klonopin or Valium. I always think a generic is a second choice to the brand-but I pay the same for brand or generic and would definately try generic first if I were paying the full price.
