> How does your insurance know what your diagnosises (what's the plural..diagnosi?) are. My insurance company hasn't asked and it isn't on the prescription...do they have the right to get that kind of confidential info without a court order? Seriously, I have never heard of this and it just don't seem right. Certainly unconstitutional.

I was furious when they denied me, and I get furious everytime I think about it. The last I heard was that I had to 'contest' their bs decision by writing them a letter, getting my idiot doctor to write them a letter, then they would actually having a meeting to decide whether I could get the drug or not.
I've been on many, many, many meds for years and have never had this problem with any insurance company. I'm not sure what's going on over at Anthem BC/BS, but in the past couple months, they have been driving me nuts with stuff like this time and time again.
I'm ready to go down to their office and raise some hell. I'm using cobra now, because I'm on disability, and ever since then, things have been a nightmare. They keep screwing up my coverage, denying or delaying my med orders, etc, and it's the same ins company I've had for 3 years.
Now the irs send me a 10k bill saying we owe them cash, which is total BS. 1600 in penalties, and 1000 in interest!!!.. Interest? It's on my 2004!!! taxes... so they wait 1.5 years to tell me there's an error, then tack on 1.5 years of interest and penalties? I wasn't even notified there was an error until just now!!!! I was on the phone for 20 mins and couldn't even get in touch with a real person. I wish I had a family tax lawyer. This situation reeks of illegality.
