Okay, this is interesting. With EMSAM, I don't really sleep. Or eat. LOL. I just don't get tired! This is kind of wonderful, as I have a lot of work to accomplish, but sometimes I think, "Oh, I'm bipolar; they say I *must* have a regular sleep pattern..." So I take my before-bed Seroquel. The dose is 175mg qhs.
The Seroquel puts me to sleep without fail, but I run into the same problem I ran into when I took Remeron a dog's age ago--if I don't get into bed immediately, I won't feel sleepy from the Seroquel; instead, I will develop a ravenous, insatiable appetite. The other night I actually ate half a jar of lingonberry jam. I think lingonberry jam only tastes good if you're Scandinavian, but hey, I ate about a cup of it - straight - anyway. So now I take the Seroquel and race to bed.
ALL of the antidepressants, even the mood stabilizer-cum-antidepressant Lamictal, murder my appetite and libido. I have been thin and undersexed for 13 years. Ah well. And EMSAM is included.
At least I'm not depressed!
