There are no opioids marketed for depression treatment. There are quite a few threads on Babble about people being treated for depression with various opioids – off-label.
My own experience is with the opioid buprenorphine (Subutex), which I have used for depression since late last year and posted about ad nauseum.

Um… no… …one would not HAVE to drift around looking druggy. One's drift and look would remain a matter of one's tastes and resources.
