Which opioid is he taking? How old is he? People, through age, life and whatnot, frequently end up f*cked.
My take on opioid dependance and withdrawal is that tolerance is pretty well total and withdrawal lasts for ever, meaning that the apathy effect is likely to cut the other way when he stops or reduces.
Opiate lack is associated with bleakness and global dislike.
