We don't have Lyme's diease here in the UK - or rather, we might have it living in the tics perhaps, but seriously, tics are very very rare in nearly all parts of the UK, except maybe some remote areas in scotland and even then, they're pretty hard to come by. And its usually too rainy or cold to have your legs uncovered anyway. But maybe the lady with CFS went abroad?
Yeah the UK (thankfully!) is pretty beign with regard to nasties like that. We don't even have anything poisenous, except maybe the odd adder, but they are very very rare too. And in Ireland, they don't even have snakes!!!!!!!
