beta blocker w/ provigil?

Posted by saturn on June 12, 2006, at 20:01:21

Is it safe to use a beta blocker to counter peripheral side effects (heart rate, blood pressure) due to provigil?

My understanding is that beta blockade without concurrent alpha blockade increases pressor effects of (traditional) sympathomimetics, leading to potentially severe high blood pressure.

I would like to know if the same applies to provigil.

Thanks for any info. Peace. Saturn.
