need help

hi
from 5 years i hav been taking antidepressents and on and off tried to stop medicines.i used to take SSRI.i know these med should be tapered off slowly and i did the same but developed depression after few months.now again i am tapering off the medicines.can u answer why again and again i used to hav depression. give some suggestions how top tapperoff the med to hav least withdrawl symptoms.
