5 weeks for prozac.
I did a ten day washout from effexor (washout is such a pleasant sounding term for what is a bone crushing mind shaking trip to hell..) From all I read, a week would be sufficient for effexor, my pdoc wanted me to go two weeks to be safe so I split the difference. No harm done. I would think paxil would be a week also since its half life is so short like effexor's. But I would research that thoroughly as I am just assuming. I would also assume (and you know what that means about all that *ss outa you and me stuff) that the worse the withdrawals, the shorter the half life, the shorter the washout period. But again, I know nothing.
