Topamax and Bipolar Disorder

Hi All,
I am considering asking my doctor to switch me from Neurontin as a mood stabiliser to Topamax becase of weight gain and cost. Anybody ever try this?? I take Wellbutrin 300mg, Seroquel 800mg, Neurontin 1200mg, and Abilify 30 mg, and this combo works although I have had significant weight gain. Any stories welcome :-)
