I disagree that a competent clinician could make an equivalent "diagnosis" based on observations alone, though.
There are also different ways of doing this testing. Functional testing is simply to measure the rate of transformation of a drug with known pharmacokinetics. The rate is inferred based on excretion in urine. That will tell you fast/medium/slow, but won't tell you exactly why.
The genetic tests can also give false negatives. It also depends on the way the test is set up. If you have a mutation that they haven't recognized, you might get a "normal" evaluation despite having a defective gene. I'd like to see their protocols, before I jumped into the game.
But yes, absolutely, I'd like to know. I think I'm about 10% on 2D6. That's my guesstimate. I'd love to *know*.
