I think med insurance is a double edged word.First trust me im extremly thankful to have it,and not being paying as i HAVE hundreds of dollers to find a drug dont work.
BUT thats just it! Most or a high majority of people are not paying the cash,so some insurance company chokes on a 60 script,NOW i bet if every person paid cash for there meds, there would be a LOT less tolerance,a lot less bags full of half empty bottles of drugs, and a LOT more questions being asked to the FDA as to why we are not paying for medications that are treating us better.
I personaly dont believe we are,i know some disagree,i believe little scieance is being used to head in NEW direction and instead companies focus on taking what is the foundation, the ssris and like, and having them tweaked here, and there mostly for better side effect issues, and patent renewals.
For this reason the chunk of people who dont respond to common meds will likly continue not to do so,only maybe with less side effects lol.
I dunno i honestly just want off,i really truly do,i sit here and i read this group,i talk to close friends, and i just dont see marked improvment warrenting the use of these drugs, for myself anyway,i wish i never stepped foot in the docs office that faithfull morning,or i wish i had been one of those people who starts the sample pack and then tosses it away mid use.
Instead i stuck with it,and the doc,and his recomendations,a choice i regret.
