Now that is very similar as to how I too experience Parnate. If I take a late dose then as the evening becomes night and as the night becomes the early morning, I just don't feel sleepy.

I don't really know what you mean about Parnate becomeing active as the metabolites LEAVE the body. Do you mean that the pathways for absorption are in those tissues in the body which are encountered by a med as it is excreted?>

Interestingly I do not experience this exhaustion as much I expected. It is weird but if I am up all night (from a very late dose of Parnate) then I do not feel tired or sleepy until the evening the following day. I am a 6 to 7 hour a night man but a recent crisis meant that I was survining on 2 hours a night averaged over 11 days.
I can't really account for this but it seems as if you are doing something similar (the number of hours may be very different in your own case) but that you are pushing your body beyond its limit and not giving it the sleep it absolutely needs. In other words, maybe your dose of Parnate is too high for you?
