In reply to Can Cymbalta and Zoloft be taken together???, posted by addinbc on May 4, 2006, at 9:33:00
Yeah, you can combine zoloft and cymbalta. I mean, a doctor would think it's pretty weird, but if it helps you feel better, ya know?
If you end up working up to a much higher dose of cymbalta than you are taking now though, you want to google "serotonin syndrome" and be on the lookout for symptoms so you can stop it early. I have no idea what dose would put you in that danger zone. Might be 20mg, might be 30mg, don't know.
I took micro-doses of cymbalta along with 20mg prozac about 6 months ago. I'm sure that would have been ok longterm. I took up 30mg of it, but just for one day, with the prozac. I bet if I had stuck with that I would have run into problems.
Someone here took a mix of regular dose prozac and regular dose effexor a few years ago and did well on it for months, until it pooped out like all the other ones that person had tried.
