Hi Tam,

>Is it out yet?

Yes, but not as an antidepressant. It's available as an antiemetic to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy.

Here is some information.....

'Aprepitant is a neurokinin-1 (NK-1)-receptor antagonist (substance P antagonist)'

'Aprepitant was in Phase II studies expected to be an effective antidepressant, but Phase III studies failed to show efficacy in the treatment of depression. Aprepitant's failure in depression sounds a warning for substance P antagonists - it is not the first drug in this class to be suspended from trials in depression.'

Regards

Ed
