Phillipa,
These are the previous two threads that I posted. His abuse of meds was on Ritalin. That was probably five or so years ago. I made an appt. with his family dr. (back then) and informed him of what he was doing. The next time my husband went in, his doc asked him how he could be going through Ritalin so quickly. (Pretended as if he didn't know what was going on.) He then would not give him any more prescriptions for it.
His "abuse" now is alcohol (IMO).Well, I guess it is appearing like I am complaining of his "depression" getting bad only when I he is resisting something that I propose .. but it's not just that. He has had this "reaction" in the past, many times, when he gets frustrated (beyond belief!) at our son (who is diagnosed with an autistic disorder.) He has gone into deep "funks" when his partner tried to make him more accountable and the list goes on and on and on ...
