Its more potent mg for mg but I found it doesnt give quite the same sense of relief immediacy. For me, Valium is a smidgen better for anxiety. I think. Its hard to say -- they are similar over time but it is an individual thing. Also, if you are taking any medications that affect cytochrome 3A4 you're better off with Klonopin. This holds true for Xanax as well.
