I'm very happy you did find out about the 'break' before it would have to late. I've been in the EXACT same situation than you lately: was on Nardil and were going on Parnate. I just mentioned PARNATE that my pdoc was doing my prescription. I asked her 'what about the 14 days break we have to take between the 2 ?' and she told me 'well, they are in the same class of meds, so you can start tonigh' (!!!!) just to show you how much it would have been dangerous to listen to her -> I tried Parnate after 7 days and my BP as burst up to 247 of systolic. What would have happen if I would have tried it the same day ? my guess is that I would be dead.
Oh and BTW, just to test them, I also ask my pharmacist and the told me 'This are old infos.. I think you will be okay if you wait 3 days. No let's put 4 days to be ultra safe".
.... Take your time Phillipa.. In my case I wasn't even OK after 14 days! only after 17
