Some, if not all, insurance companies consider Provigil an investigational drug for the treatment of ADD/ADHD. I was denied coverage at the pharmacy for this reason.

It was a blessing in disguise, however, because the pdoc and I switched to a different stimulant that works without intolerable side effects - Dexedrine. I endured considerable trial-and-error to reach this point.

"I get knocked down, but I get up again..."

Hopefully, the new modafinal (Provigil) formulation recieves FDA approval to treat ADD/ADHD. It looks like it works for some people.
