Here's an idea. You could keep the best of both worlds. Use the prozac as your primary base. On top of it, take just a little cymbalta to retain some of the parts of it you liked. Not enough to raise blood pressure though. You can do that by emptying out a capsule into a bowl and counting how many beads to take. 10 beads = 1mg. That way you could have your familiar prozac feel, but add in a touch of the norepinephrine feel of cymbalta in a custom-tailored way that you can control. And actually, as you are transitioning from one to the other, that is a pretty good strategy anyway to make it as smooth a transition as possible. Somewhere along the line you may find a sweet spot.
Just a thought. If you like them both...
> cymbalta worked great but raised my blood pressure and I gained weight. I'm already overweight big time. I had to go up on blood pressure meds. My pressure went up too. 185/108 at one reading. And tht was on blood pressure meds. Raising them didn't help. If you can tolerate it I think it's a great med. Next to that I'm a prozac poster child...lol was on it for 10 years just got too lethargic. Adderall helps and so does abilify.
