Vale, did you have a bad experience with this med? Do you mean a person wil feel worse each day when it wears off or that a person will feel worse after you discontinue the med? I've read a lot of posts about it and I'm desperate for something that will help my condition, particularly so I can get a job again.
> Both are substituted benzamide neuroleptics, and as such carry the dangers of neuroleptics( weight gain, prolactin elevation, muscle rigidity, the shakes, etc.) I've tried them both. Sulperide is the older of the two. Both are disinhibitory at the lower dose range, but amisulperide is a definite improvement, very fast acting it's effects are noticed within hrs, and this drug can make you feel better than well in a short space of time if it suits you. But there is a snag, as stopping it can make you feel a lot worse than a bout of social phobia does. I know it's used for syndromes as mild as dysthymia, but think carefully before you start. Consider drugs a last option, consider antipychotics as the last of the last options.
