Reboxetine can produce anxiety and irritability. It can even produce an exacerbation of depression and suicidality. I would not necessarily look at Zoloft as being the culprit in the precipitation of the adverse effects you described.
I agree with Ed that it makes sense to start at 2mg and move up from there. I believe most people do well at 4mg.
