I have had great luck with klonopin (2mgs night). I have taken it for 12 years. Though I am now adding EMSAM for dsythima, klonopin even as mono therapy really tackled my social and generalized anxiety, I was definately functional.

The sedation went away, but not the anti anxiety benefits. No tolerance to it, never have had to increase dose. You can get off it if you ever decide to, just take your time. I did once, but my old social anxiety returned, so I didn't waste much time before starting again.

Finding the right dose is key, play with it till you settle in on what feels best. Seems most take between 1 and 5 mgs for anxiety disorters. Some split doses, others don't, again, I'd play with that. I think there's reason to be very optimistic. I wish you the best. Rob
