I don't know why. Is Nifedipine better?
Oh boy, it's going hard with the eating. But I never lost weight on Parnate before.

Back in October, Parnate's appetite-suppressing & amphetamine-like effects triggered a relapse into anorexia for me. I lost weight very rapidly (& began abusing the drug - upping the dose when the "speed-like" effect wore off). One night, I developed very severe orthostatic hypotension with syncope. I could not stand up and, when I tried, had a seizure. My blood pressure was so low that I should not have been alive. The doctor told me that this was the direct result of taking Parnate and being at a very low weight & engaging in restricting behavior. Please be careful.
