Utter nonsense!!! First, I am sure that if this thread turns toward religion it will be redirected to another subject area. That being said, people in roles of religious leadership are among the most messed up people in the world! I think that's what leads them to seek God so passionately. The truth is that "putting it in God hands" doesn't mean that we lay about waiting for God to fix it. It means that we feel horrible and complain and wonder why it is the way it is while we try a million medications and thank God for medication and lament that we need medication and cry out for relief and in anger because the meds don't work and we curse and cry and beg and find comfort and need and want and say yes and no and resign ourselves to the possibility that no matter how much we pray this may be what we have to deal with and maybe not. If it were as easy as "putting it in God's hands" preachers and priests would be out of business. Bjork has this song that goes: "It's not meant to be a strain. It's not meant to be a struggle up hill." I'm not sure if she's talking about love or life or what but it's all meant to be hard. None of it is easy and if you have to do it with a mood disorder...
