ADHD is as pleomorphic as depression or epilepsy.

It just isn't possible to say whether Provigil will help.

Similarly, a lot of people deride Strattera for being 'weaker' than stims, but 'weaker' is obviously being used in a metaphorical sense and caution is advised when dealing with anything one says about the CNS.

Similarly, when others describe the drugs' effects, skepticism is advised, not because the posters are wrong or insincere, but simply because our pathologies/biochemistries/temperamental factors differ so widely. For instance many say Ritalin causes introversion, and yet I actually felt like talking to people/pursuing relationships on that drug. On the other hand, another poster said Provigil was the best thing for his social phobia, and Provigil makes me even more introverted than I normally am (and I am extremely introverted). Although, bizarrely, it causes me to shake less (I have a tremor I have always attributed to anxiety, but Provigil @ 200 mg + and Ritalin @ 60 mg cause it vanish almost completely, though Ritalin at lower doses worsens it).
