Effexor xr in social situations

I was wondering if Effecor xr has helped anyone in social situations. I was prescribed Paxil for my panic disorder in the past and it didn't seem to help. One of my concerns is being able to feel comfortable in social situations so has anyone had any luck with that after taking Effexor?
