Academic journals while fascinating for the literati (not trying to be condescending) are unbelievably expensive even for libraries, sometimes two to three times the cost of the PDR. That which is already insane at this point considering it is half filled with FDA required provided advertising basically that largely can be found at Drugs@FDA or a new drug in the US at ThisIsANewDrug.com (humour).....
Occasionaly though you can luck on a pearl of information with carefully constructed keywords on what I think currently is the best search engine, Google. Remembering though, that what you find should conform to HON (health on the net) or some similar standards of peer-reviewed or academic accuracy. There are scam, profit sites, and a plethora of ambulance chasers that try to put themselves at the top of the engine only confusing the user.
