It's my understand we're due to get news on EMSAM from the FDA by the 26th (this Sunday). The FDA got a three month extension for their decision back in late November. The news about the extension hit on the Mylan web site the Friday before the FDA drug act date (which was a Sunday as well).
If history repeats itself, we'll get some sort of answer or response on the approval by this Friday. I'm one that wants to give it a try before going to Nardil or Parnate for SP with mild depression.
It's my understanding there is nothing in the works to have either Nardil or Parnate in patch form (not sure why), just selegiline, but that it will work much differently than oral selegiline, who knows, we'll see.
It's my understanding that once approved it will take a couple of months before it will be available to the public and that Mylan and the other drug companies will push it faster if it's approved without the food restrictions for the 20mg dose.
