Yes. It used to be that anything higher than 5mg zyprexa made me paranoid and freaky. I'm on 1.25mg now, but even just a minor increase to 2.5mg freaks me out.

It's just my guess that the extra serotonin from the ADs squashes down the excess dopamine that's causing the symptoms. Antipsychotics block dopamine receptors, but only some of the receptors, and not that strong. But they also stimulate dopamine release at the same time. Sometimes the stimulation might be stronger than the blockade, depending on the person's unique brain wiring.

Antidepressants have always been, for me, better at calming and mood stabilization than any antipsychotic or mood stabilizer. Now if they only worked that good for depression I would be all set.
