I wonder why they would give you Remeron if you oversleep and overeat? Remeron increases sleep and eating.
I am on it. They gave it to me along w/ SSRI because I had a severe depression where I could not eat and woke up too early every morning (like around 3:30 or 4). Ironically, even though I couldn't eat while depressed, I didn't really lose weight either, probably because I stopped exercising when I was depressed too...or depression just slows down your metabolism? I don't know.
As for weight gain on Remeron...I know some people have gained mass amounts of weight on it. For me personally, I gained about 7-10 lbs over my normal non-depressed weight, but then it leveled off there.
Oh, also, I take it at night, 15 mg, and sleep like a rock.
