Hi Fenix,Your the only other person I've come across with TA. I'v had it for a few years and it's gotten worse. Also developed Tardive tics now.
I've been diagnosed by 4 seperate movement disorder neurologists here in Canada but they were all consults and am without a doctor. It's been recommended I go to McLean's in the US.
You mentioned a doctor doing research/treating Tardive Akathisia? I'd appreciate any info. ; am pretty desperate at this point; feel like a spastic Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. I've been on over 40 psychotropics in the last 5 years. Currently on 5 mgs. lorazepam but it only holds down the restlesness/agitation/movements somewhat. propranolol didn't do a lot for me either. (have you tried clonidine? I had limited partial success physically).
Was your original problem anxiety?I think it's great you have the patience/ability to sit still enough to post.
Appreciate any help you can give.
