Instead, I would talk to my doc and say "I've read that for some people a higher dosage of Lexapro works better - do you think this may be something to consider for me?"
I do not agree with your doctor when she says to avoid any and all internet sites like this one. The doctor, if a good one, should be advocating patient education not supressing it.
That's my 2 cents.
