hi! there's some interest in the use of opiates for depression (and schizophrenia, sometimes) in psychiatry now. Odds are, if you do get an RX, it'd be for something like Temgesic, which is regarded as less addictive than other opiates. I dont know if a shrink would RX both dexedrine and an opiate for depression. Weirdly enough, while they may not do that for depression (even though both meds have proven track records in depression), they might do it if you have ADD. Good luck!
