Hi,

I was never on paxil, but actually have a question for you. I recently have been put on Effexor XR 37.5 and have seen a change since day 1.

Is Effexor an SNRI and what is the difference between that and an SSRI?

Thanks

> i stsrted on 225 mg. effexor xr about 2 weeks ago after slightly more than 10 years of paxil. the paxil had long ago quit working, but nobody else cared so why should i? a friend made me promise to talk to my doc about my meds, and he switched me to effecor xr. so far no difference than before the change. Anyone else had a direct switch from an ssri, and what was the outcome? (only other psych drug i take is trazadone for ocd and to help me sleep.)
