This has been my experience, a 2 month wait to see a pdoc on an HMO. Since you seem to have insurance can your primary give you something to tide you over for 2 months. They are more likely
to do this once you have an appointment with a pdoc.

Yes, HMO pays specialists less than their standard fees.
