Sorry, I don't think that I have been following your story, so I'm sure that I have missed a lot...but I just wanted to clarify...you DO want to try Abilify even though it is also an AP? Do you think that your pdoc would be unwilling to rx it? My sense is that pdocs are generally open to rx-ing whatever drug in the same class. Now if your doc is set on an AP and you are not, that is more complex.
BUT, I would go back to pdoc and say simply, that you have been doing some thinking and researching and you would feel better about trying something that you have not yet tried. Specifically, you want to try Abilify.
Please don't resort to self-rxing. It is a dangerous road. You don't know what sorts of drugs you may end up with, bad, fake, whatever. Also, if you have a bad reaction to something, it is so much easier to have a physician who knows what is going on.
I say push the doc on the Abilify.
Best,
EE
