Fasting glucose and glucose tolerance are two different tests. The fasting glucose gives you a snapshot view of one moment in time. Glucose tolerance tells you whether your body can handle huge amounts of glucose taken in all at once, and how long it takes for that glucose to be metabolized.
Probably one of the best options for you, B2, is either a test called the A1C, which offers up a picture of whether your blood sugar has been within limits for the past three months; or -- and this would be my choice for the best option -- get yourself a blood glucose monitor, and use it regularly to get a better idea of what's happening when you experience that weakness, etc.
