Yes, I do take it before bed. 40mg. It makes me really tired too.
The common advice is not to take it later than 3pm (or "so and so" hours before bed)... something about a amphetamine-like metabolite.
I did follow this suggestion for the first while. I experiemnted first of course, and found no matter when I took it, I could barely sleep... yet I would still feel so very tired the few hours after a dose.
Eventually tho the sleep troubles disappeared- within a few weeks or couple months (I assume ones brain adapts to whatever it is from the parnate that keeps you up).
It has been about 5/6 months now and the tiredness has not disappear. I think the fatigue has more to do w/ blood pressure and the vascular system in general than the effects parnate has on the brain. Taking parnate before bed is working fine for me.
Willyee does have a good point tho. In theory (and in his experience it seems) parnate would repress REM sleep (amphetamine metabolites??). I feel most tired 2-6 hours after a dose, and most activated the few hours after that (mentally and physically)... so in my rxperience taking bfr bed works rather well. We'll see if reduced REM sleep catches up with me (note tho that I feel plenty alert and energetic during the day, and I still have lots dreams).
Just thought I'd share. glad to hear its helping and good luck. :)
