This is one good place to start. Just to know that such melancholic periods are temporary and do pass should give you the insight to help get you through these episodes until they subside.

How much Prozac have you been taking regularly and for how long? What else do you take?

That sounds like a state of agitation. Perhaps adding a mood-stabilizer or using a tricyclic antidepressant would work better.

Thinking about it will not necessarily make it come back. How could you not think about it? It has been a very traumatic experience. The key is to try to avoid dwelling on it and ruminating about it in a way that is not constructive. A constructive way of thinking about what happened might be to recognize that it was a biological event produced by a disorder that will ebb and flow until it is successfully treated. In the meantime, try to relax and enjoy the reprieve.
