Some people benefit from therapy and some just don't like it. I'm in the latter category, but a lot of people are helped by it.

I believe that the general concensus among docs is that a depressed and/or anxious person should be treated with medication first; and then therapy if needed.

As for the best dose, generally if a medication is not working well enough, the best thing to do first is to increase the dose if it's ok with your doc.
