Was Xanax at one time widely prescribed?

Posted by rjlockhart98 on October 11, 2005, at 21:01:07

I heard in the early 1990's, i have watched court TV with cases with people taking Xanax envolved with a situation around 1992.

I go to there web site and they say its "the most widely prescribed medication for panic disorder" , excuse me i dont think so. Klonopin in the US is 1st line. I take 6mg of Klonopin (Clonazepam) daily for severe anxiety.

Xanax i think is more prescribed to women. NOT to be discriminating, but at other sites such Remedyfind.com more women post about Xanax than men, and talk about how relieving it is.

This is like Miltown back in 1950's, always have your miltown.

Anyways, i just thought i would put my thought.

Matt
