straterra was a failed antidepressant before some genius decided to try it for ADHD...so, its got the usual AD black box, plus some liver warnings. Adderall...is actually an old drug (originally it was "Obetrol," and it hit the market in the early 60s), but there have been a couple deaths lately that prompted the FDA to smack a new warning on it...Dexedrine isn't used that much anymore, so I guess they don't feel the need to add more stuff, or maybe fewer problems have popped up recently? I dunno. You can just think of dexedrine as adderall-ish, only with a less potent effect on the cardiovascular system. Ritalin has often been regarded as less abuse-able and less potent than amphetatimes, so it may be that rep. that keeps it from being slathered in warnings...as a matter of fact, there is a group that wants the FDA to make Ritalin a schedule III drug (which would allow for refills) instead of keeping it in schedule II, where it is now (along with dexedrine, adderall, some pain killers, and most of the barbiturates).
