Parnate is semi-reversible. That is, it is slowly reversible. Like 30 days or so to fully reverse, IIRC. Enough MAO has been produced in about 14 days to make switching to the effexor/remeron combo fairly safe, though. I'd not recommend switching after 1 week, but your risk tolerance may vary.
