Hi Maxime,

I've never combined Dexedrine with either baking soda or Tums, but I think a PB poster named "Ame Sans Vie" might have tried one or both of those. Perhaps you can check the archives for his experiences with them. I'm pretty sure that some antiacid has been used to "augment" Dexedrine, but I don't know whether it was Tums or one of the other ones, and I don't know which ingredient in antiacids is the important one as far as enhancing Dexedrine's effects. I'm pretty sure that different antiacids have different ingredients. For example, Tums probably have different ingredients than Rolaids, so it's important to find out exactly which ingredient is the critical one.

I should probably start another thread for the next thing I want to mention, but I'll say it here . . . I get the impression that you're still on Parnate (somehow I had missed that information until now). I was on Parnate a long time ago, and although it was more activating than most other AD's I'd been on up to that point, it also LOWERED my blood pressure a lot, so I often had NO energy whatsoever. A few photographs were taken of me during that time, and whenever I see them, I can't believe how "wiped out" and exhausted I look. Later, a small amount of Ritalin was added to the Parnate, and that combination brought my blood pressure up to about normal (110/70 or 120/70). Raising my blood pressure helped relieve some of that fatigue. I just wanted to mention that in case it might help. Have you had your blood pressure checked now and then? Do you have a BP monitor? Prior to taking Parnate, I never thought that I'd complain about my BP being too low, but it really was so low, I could barely move.

S.
