Which is actually another way remeron screwed me up! After being on that extreme hisatamine receptor block, I have horrible allergies! My receptors seem to get permanently screwed from these drugs. Or at least it takes forever for them to up or down regulate again or whatever they have to do. I believe this is also what is affecting my stomach to a degree, because if I take pepcid or zantac (which work on a histamine receptor) rather than my usual prilosec, my stomach seems to improve) however I can't tolerate them for more than a few days. SUCKS!! Certainly wish after the hell of paxil withdrawal I'd just gone back on another SSRI (not that I didn't try) so that I would have just continued to screw up the same receptors rather than adding a few more into the mix to mess up!
