i dont know if i'm supposed to be talking about this, but my inpatient doctor a week ago and i briefly discussed this drug. he seemed to imply that there were still studies being done, and that it was still a possible prospect for future adjunctive treatments. he said that he wasn't able to tell me more due to confidentiality issues. i wonder how this would be done with all the patent crapola... or is it investigation because possibly canada is a more lucrative space for generic type drugs? or i was thinking that maybe some sleazy drug comapny could mash the crap into some new antidepressant (a la symbyax) they want to release and then attribute the success of the pill to their specific new drug rather than the meager ritanserin. or would that even make sense? it would suck because that could likely kill any possiblity of it being successfully combined with an MAOI... but oh well... i'm drifting... does anyone know what my doctor could have been talking about?
(he also said he could have likely had access to amisulpride if we were to try that... i guess possibly how someone my neighbour (a pharmacy assistant) knew that got wellbutrin via a section 8 before it was even available in the country. i didn't even know it could be done, i hope canada's new laws aren't going to kill possibities like this.)
