Hi. I had a terrible problem with shivering on ssri's, especially Celexa and, to some extent, Lexapro, although I didn't spend much time on Lexapro. The shivering and hypothermia were a chronic problem on Celexa. It never went away, so that even in the middle of summer, I needed several quilts in bed. It was horrible. Another poster here, "Emme," had the same problem. As others on this thread have mentioned, it could be serotonin syndrome and/or over-activation of the 5-HT1a receptors, which are involved in thermoregulation, I believe.
