I'm 21 years old male and have Bipolar-NOS ultra rapid cycling.
Earlier this year, I saw a doctor who practices integrative medicine, and she did a super panel test that tested my thyroid. It tested my T4, T3, and TSH levels.
The results were the following. I can't remember the exact numbers, though but I can remember the ranges:
T4: High end of normal range
T3: High end of normal rangeT4 to T3 conversion was fine
TSH: 2.13
Now, on to the TSH. I read somewhere on here and on another site that any TSH above 2.0 basically means that your thyroid gland is going bad according to very recent research by experts. I also read that people feel best at TSH 1.0 especially those with mood disorders.
Any truth to these?
Should I start asking my doctor about Thyroid replacement hormones?
Overall, are there any concerns and worries about those aformentioned test results?
